Wonderful

A hotel with personality, a unique historical architecture. Great staff, they couldn't be more friendly, solved whatever I needed. Good breakfast, comfortable beds.

Rooms didn't have great ventilation.

Great Value Stay in La Candelaria

The staff is very friendly and hospitable. I particularly like the lady who is serving me breakfast. She is like a mom serving breakfast. I love the location as it is walking distance to key areas of interest. I love the colonial design of the hotel.

The pillows are a bit hard. That is a very minor point.

Wonderful

The staff were brilliant, friendly and helpful. It is also one of the few true 24 hour receptions. The location is brilliant, right in the heart of where you want to be. The architecture of the property with its inner courtyards also made it extra special.

The floorboards were overflexing in parts which was both noisy and made it feel slightly unconfortable when walking on them. Our groundfloor room faced the inner courtyard which meant for privacy we always had to have the shutters closed so the room had no natural light.

Great place to stay in La Candelaria

Conveniently located in La Candelaria in a beautiful building. The friendly staff speaks English and breakfast was good.

Ask for a room on the back side. We had a room facing the street, which was quite noisy.

Charming Historic Hotel with Perfect Location for Botero & Gold Museums

Extremely Charming building built between 1830 and 1862, so inner courtyard, tall ceilings, hardwood floors, a couch, writing desk, and other nice touches in the rooms as well as a nice bathroom & shower. I had a room with twin beds, and the beds were comfortable (soft) so it was our best night of sleeping in Colombia. Also, there were no windows, and it was insulated from noise on the outside which was nice. The hotel arranged a taxi on our arrival, about $8 more than if we used an uber, but we arrived late and it was nice to have someone holding a sign. An excellent breakfast was served and included in the rate. Perfectly located for a short walk to Botero and Gold Museums as well as shopping in Candelaria Market or for Emeralds.

Really, this is unavoidable when you stay in a charming historic building....the hardwood floors are probably original so they creak really loudly when you walk across. This only impacts you when one person gets up to use the bathroom in the middle of the night, but it is impossible for the other person not to wake up. Its that loud. Again, it's par for the course with the historic charm, so nothing can be done about it other than awareness.

Nice stay in the absolut centre of Bogota, in old town district Candelaria, very close to the main square. Very helpful and friendly staff - guys at the reception and ladies in the kitchen.

very polite staff very big and clean room perfect breakfast value for money in the heart of candelaria less than 5 minutes on foot from the botero and gold museum PLEASE notice that it is very hard to find people that speak english in colombia [even in hotels] so before you visit the country start ur spanish lessons

Exceptional

Great location, close to the main sights. Lots of nice cafes and restaurants around. The staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful. The room was nice and quiet by an inner courtyard. Lovely breakfast too and we left our bag with warmer clothes there, which we won't need until we return to Bogota.

No negatives at all, we look forward to spending another night at the hotel before our return flight home.

Excellent hotel in Bogota

I loved my multiple stays at this hotel during my visit to Colombia. It’s a beautiful building in a perfect location in La Candelaria. The rooms are great and include a safe. A good breakfast is served every morning. Particular thanks to Alfredo and Gabriel for all their service and for always wanting to help – they are such a friendly team. Gran servicio! Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Bogota.

Nice but noisy in a very charming hotel

The size of the room. Very big! Clean nice shower! A little small but good clean and hot water! The staff was friendly. Simple but good breakfast.

The noise from outside, you can hear all the cars passing people on the streets late at night. Made sleeping for us light sleepers difficult.

The location was pretty good, also the staff was really helpful and friendly. They always try to help us with everything. Also, the upgrade our room for the same price. The breakfast was good and tasty. Value for money is great

Comfortable room and great breakfast! Great location, close to lots of restaurants and things to do.

Our room's central location meant we occasionally heard other guests returning late at night, but it was a minor aspect of our stay.

Central and value for money! But not the safest neighbourhood.

The place was a value for money for sure. The staff were very nice and helpful. The airport pickup was very prompt. At least one could speak English well from my experience. The decor was interesting. The location was very, very central. This was very helpful because I only had one day in the city and that allowed me to cover many places.

The place is a bit old, but that's typical of boutique hotel. The historic neighbourhood doesn't feel safe at night. The breakfast was decent.
